Lady A’s Hillary Scott engaged

Well, the title pretty much says it all.

Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum is getting hitched to her drummer boyfriend, Chris Tyrell. He popped the question during the Fourth of July weekend while the pair celebrated the national holiday with family. The two met while touring with Tim McGraw early last year. Who says love can’t bloom on the road?

No word on a wedding date, but a date has been set for the band’s follow up release to Need You Now. The new album, Own The Night, is due out September 13.

Congrats to the happy couple!

The band reminisced about this humble beginning to a small crowd of fans at a free show at a Mayfield Mobil gas station in Richfield, Wis.
